| Story telling with digital video |
|
Pupils from Y3, 4, 5 & 6 in Westways Primary, Hunter's Bar Infant and Hallam Primary Schools have been working on story-telling in their Literacy lessons. Rather than write about their stories, they were given the chance to build plasticene or Lego models and use digital cameras to create stop-motion animation to enact their stories.
As well as creating a video, the children then narrated their stories and edited the digital audio before putting it over the footage. The project gives pupils an opportunity to improve their communication and team work skills as well as learn video and audio editing, but best of all get a chance to flex their imagination, creativity and have some fun learning!
