| High Storrs Art Project |
|
Six groups of Y8 and Y9 students from High Storrshave been creating short 'claymation' films in their Art lessons. They were given the task of thinking up a short imaginary scenario that they could recreate using plasticene models, then sketching a story-board showing each scene. Finally they worked in groups of 2 or 3 to animate their creations using digital cameras and stop-motion software on ultra-mobile PCs. Some groups decided to narrate their stories and add sound or special effects. The project gave students an opportunity to be creative in an aspect of art that they had not tried before, as well as learn about computer animation, but best of all they had a chance to flex their imagination, creativity and have some fun learning!
